Great tool
We have five dogs, three of which are golden retrievers which shed tremendously. This tool works extremely well to get to their undercoats and brush out any mats that are deep in their feathers. The first night I used it, so much fur came off despite regular brushing- for long haired pets this is great- for our short hair girls, I still like something with a closer tooth (but you can’t compare two different tools for different coats) Overall, love it for the longer fur. Still use our old brush for the short Weimaraner and our mix girl.

So we have an Australian Cattle Dog (heeler) and he sheds ALL THE TIME. But when he's seasonally blowing his coat it gets really intense. There's constant itching, he's hot and he's dropping fur everywhere. His normal slicker and curry-type combs just can't make a dent. We took this to him and we got a ridiculous amount of undercoat off of him. He loved it so much and felt a million times better when we were done. There were three patches like what is pictured in the back yard when we were done, so much we had to rake it up. I understand you might not want to go crazy with these on double-coats, but when you need them they'll totally come through for you.

Best brush EVER!!
Hands down, this is the best brush for my very thick-coated German Shepherd. I’ve brushed an entire dog off of him! It’s normally so hard to keep up with the plums of undercoat. I’ve used the Furminator, which works well, but tends to pull and he is not a fan. This brush has curved, larger “rake-like” teeth that are sturdy and can manage rather large chunks. It easily raked through and pulled up layers of soft undercoat and dander while leaving the topcoat shinny and looking great. The Furninator still has its place here, but just for shorter hair areas I can softly comb over. Until now, I hadn’t realized how much fluff was still there. I brushed him for a half-hour, and could still get more off. I wished I found it sooner 👏🏻 It’s super easy to use, and doesn’t cause a bunch of static. Normally, I’m covered in hair -but this brush gathered fur, and dropped right out.
